Privacy Policy
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Adam Chaari, an individual, in Rabat, Morocco ("Yedd", "we"). Contact for any question about your data: yedd.app.ma@gmail.com.
We process personal data in line with Moroccan law 09-08, supervised by the CNDP. If the translations differ, the French version prevails.
2. What we collect
All users:
- Phone number: the one you sign in with or, if you sign in by email, the mobile number you give us (required). It is shown only to the other person on an active job.
- Email address, if you sign in by email or add one.
- Name, profile photo and date of birth. The date of birth stays private and is used to check the minimum age.
- Location: the address of a job, and your position when you use the map or, for workers, when they are online or on a job.
- Jobs: description, photos, voice messages, address, price, offers, status and history.
- Messages exchanged with the other person on a job.
- Ratings and reviews you write or receive.
- Reports, messages to support and feedback sent from the app (with, if you choose, a screenshot, the device model and the app version).
- Technical data: notification token, language, theme, proof of consent. We do not use an advertising ID.
Workers, in addition:
- Photos of the front and back of the ID card (CIN) and a selfie.
- The result of the identity check: a score from 0 to 100, the list of checks passed or failed, the data read from the card (name, partly masked number, dates), the result of the liveness test, and a one-way fingerprint of your CIN number.
- Trades, bio, years of experience, languages, service area and work photos.
- Punctuality counters, commissions, wallet movements, payments and top-up requests.
3. Why we use it
- To provide the service: create your account, match customers and workers, show offers, let people chat, send notifications about your jobs, manage commissions and handle reports.
- With your consent: chat and announcement notifications, promotions (off until you turn them on), usage statistics (off unless you accept), the analysis of your ID card and selfie, and location.
- To meet legal duties: accounting and tax records, answering the authorities.
- For our legitimate interest: user safety, fighting fraud and duplicate accounts, and defending our rights.
4. Identity check
Workers go through an identity check before they can work. The phone reads the card, checks that it is valid and that the name and date of birth match the profile, runs a short liveness test (blink, turn the head, smile) and compares the selfie with the photo on the card. This analysis, including the face comparison, runs on your device. We do not record video and we do not keep a face template.
We keep the photos you send, the data read from the card, the score and the list of checks. An administrator makes the final decision, nothing is approved automatically.
To detect fraud and duplicate accounts we also keep a one-way fingerprint of your CIN number (up to 2 years after the account is deleted, without your name) and of your phone's identifier. These fingerprints cannot be turned back into the original values. A match only alerts an administrator.
The front and back photos of the CIN are deleted 30 days after the application is approved or rejected. The selfie is kept while the worker account is active and is deleted with the account.
5. Who sees what
- Workers see the customer's first name and the job details (description, photos, price, approximate distance) while they choose offers. The exact address, the extra details and the chat are visible only after matching.
- Customers see a worker's public profile: first name and initial, photo, trades, bio, experience, languages, service area, join date, work photos, ratings and reviews.
- The phone number is shown only to the other person on an active job.
- If you use "Share job status", the person who gets the link sees the worker's first name, trade, area, estimated arrival time and photo. The link stops working when the job ends.
- Yedd administrators see account, job, payment, report and verification data when it is needed to run the service.
- If you press "Alert Yedd", our administrators see the job, the two people and their last known positions.
- A customer's list of favourite workers is private.
- We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers.
6. Our service providers
We use:
- Supabase for the database, sign-in and file storage, with servers in the European Union;
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications;
- MapTiler for maps, address search and map position, and a public routing service to draw routes;
- an SMS sending provider for sign-in codes;
- an email sending service for sign-in codes by email.
These providers may process data outside Morocco. Their terms require them to protect the data.
7. How long we keep data
- Account data: until the account is deleted.
- CIN front and back: 30 days after the decision on the application. Selfie: while the worker account is active. Files from earlier attempts: deleted automatically.
- Chat messages: 12 months after the job ends.
- Notifications: 90 days.
- Jobs, commissions, wallet movements and payments: kept without your name for as long as accounting and tax rules require.
- Safety alerts: kept as a safety record. Positions and notes are erased when the account is deleted.
- Backups may keep deleted data for a limited time.
8. Security
Each user can only read the data that concerns them. Connections are encrypted, administrator access is limited and identity documents are stored in a private space. No system is perfectly safe. If a breach affects your rights, we will tell you and the CNDP, as the law requires.
9. Minors
Yedd is not meant for people under 16. Customers are at least 16 and workers at least 18. If we learn that a younger person has an account, we may close it.
10. Notifications, promotions and statistics
Notifications about your jobs are part of the service. You can turn off chat notifications and announcements in Settings, Notifications. Promotions are sent only if you turn them on. Usage statistics stay off unless you choose "Share usage statistics" in Settings, Privacy & data. You can change this choice at any time.
11. Your rights
Law 09-08 gives you the right to access your data, correct it, object to its processing on legitimate grounds and have it deleted. In the app, under Settings, Privacy & data, you can download all your data and delete your account. You can also write to yedd.app.ma@gmail.com. You may file a complaint with the CNDP.
12. Changes to this policy
If there is an important change, we publish a new version, tell you in the app and ask you to accept it again.
