Terms of Service
1. Who we are
Yedd is a mobile app that connects customers who need a home service (plumbing, electrics, painting and more) with independent workers. At launch the service is available in Rabat, Salé and Kénitra.
Yedd is run by Adam Chaari, an individual, in Rabat, Morocco ("Yedd", "we"). Contact: yedd.app.ma@gmail.com.
Yedd is an intermediary. We are not the workers' employer, we do not carry out the jobs, and we are not a party to the contract between a customer and a worker.
By using Yedd you accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If the translations differ, the French version prevails.
2. Who can use Yedd
- Customers must be at least 16.
- Workers must be at least 18, hold a valid national ID card (CIN) and pass the identity check.
- One person, one account. The information you give (name, date of birth, phone, trades) must be accurate and kept up to date.
- A person who was suspended for a serious breach cannot open a new account.
3. Your account
You sign in with your phone number and an SMS code, or with your email address and a code sent to it. Every account must also have a Moroccan mobile number. This number is shown only to the other person on an active job, so that you can reach each other. It is hidden once the job is completed or cancelled.
You are responsible for what is done with your account. If you think someone else is using it, write to us right away at yedd.app.ma@gmail.com.
4. How a job works
- The customer describes the job, adds photos if needed, gives the address and sets the price they want to pay. The price cannot be lower than the minimum shown for the service.
- Verified workers of the right trade nearby see the request. A worker can accept the price or offer a higher one.
- The customer picks an offer. The customer and the worker are then matched and can chat in the app.
- The worker does the job, the customer pays the agreed price, and each can rate the other.
A request does not guarantee that a worker will be available, and an offer does not guarantee that it will be chosen. Any price change after matching must be agreed in the app before the work starts.
5. Payments, commission and wallet
- The customer pays the worker directly, in cash, at the agreed price. Yedd does not collect the price of the service.
- The worker owes Yedd a commission of 10% of the agreed price. It is added to the worker's Yedd wallet when the job is matched.
- The wallet is postpaid. A worker can take jobs before paying commissions, within these limits: at most 200 DH of unpaid commissions, at most 5 unpaid jobs, and payment within 7 days of the oldest unpaid commission.
- If a limit is reached or a payment is late, the worker cannot send offers until they pay.
- Workers pay by bank transfer or with the reference code shown in the app. We credit the payment once we receive it.
- Yedd may change the rate, the limits and the deadlines. We tell users in the app before a change applies to new jobs.
- Taxes on the worker's income are the worker's responsibility.
6. Cancellations
- If the customer cancels after matching, the worker's commission for that job is cancelled.
- If the worker cancels after matching, the commission remains due.
- No-shows and last-minute cancellations, on either side, can lead to a warning, a limit on the account or a suspension.
7. The Yedd Guarantee
If a job goes wrong, the customer or the worker can report the problem in the app within 48 hours after the job ends, with a description and photos. We review the report, may ask both people for details and, depending on the case:
- send another worker;
- cancel or refund the commission for the job;
- warn, limit or suspend an account.
The Guarantee is a way of handling problems, not insurance. On its own it does not cover damage, injury, theft or lost income, and it does not replace the worker's own insurance. A report made after 48 hours, without evidence, or about an agreement made outside the app may be refused. Our decision does not stop you from using your legal rights.
8. What we expect from workers and customers
Workers must:
- arrive on time and work carefully and safely;
- keep to the agreed price and ask for nothing extra unless the customer agrees in the app;
- hold the permits or insurance the law requires for their trade;
- respect the customer's home, belongings and privacy;
- keep their profile and work photos truthful.
Customers must:
- describe the job and the address accurately;
- be present, or have someone on site, at the agreed time;
- pay the agreed price once the job is done;
- treat the worker with respect.
9. No going around the app
You must not arrange or pay outside the app for a job found through Yedd in order to avoid the commission. This can lead to a suspension and a claim for the commission.
10. Prohibited conduct
You must not:
- use a false identity or open several accounts;
- harass, threaten, insult or discriminate;
- offer or ask for illegal or dangerous work;
- post fake reviews, or pay someone to change one;
- collect or misuse other people's personal data;
- post unlawful, violent, sexual or offensive content, or content you have no right to use;
- disrupt the app or its security.
11. Reviews, photos and messages
After a job, each person can rate the other and leave a comment. Reviews must be honest and respectful. Users can send messages, photos and voice messages in the app, and workers can add a profile photo and photos of their work.
You keep your rights over your content. You allow Yedd, free of charge and non-exclusively, for as long as your account exists, to store it and show it in the app to the people concerned (the other person on the job, or people viewing a worker's profile). You confirm that you have the right to share it and that it does not show other people without their consent.
A photo, a review or a profile can be reported in the app. We may hide or remove content that breaks these Terms or the law, and tell its author. To ask for content to be removed, use the report button or write to yedd.app.ma@gmail.com.
12. Safety
The app has "Share job status" and an emergency button. These are aids, not an emergency service. Yedd does not watch the app in real time and promises no response time. If you are in danger, call the emergency services: 19 (police), 15 (ambulance, civil protection) or 177 (gendarmerie). "Alert Yedd" tells our team so that it can follow the job, but it does not replace a call to the authorities.
13. Liability
Jobs are done by independent workers, not by Yedd. As far as the law allows, Yedd is not responsible for the quality of the work, or for damage, loss, theft or injury caused by a worker or a customer. We check workers' identity with care, but we do not guarantee their skills or behaviour.
The app is provided as it is, with no guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors. Our liability to you is limited to direct damage caused by our own fault and, for a worker, to the commissions paid to Yedd in the previous 12 months. This limit does not apply where the law does not allow liability to be limited, in particular for intentional fault or gross negligence.
14. Suspension and deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings, Privacy & data. Deletion is not possible while a job is in progress or open, a dispute is open or a worker still owes money.
We may warn, limit, suspend or close an account if these Terms are broken, if the law requires it, or to protect users, and we explain our decision when we can. Amounts already owed to Yedd remain due.
15. Complaints and disputes
- Report the problem in the app (the job, then "Report a problem") or write to yedd.app.ma@gmail.com.
- We review the case and reply.
- We first look for an amicable solution.
- Failing that, Moroccan law applies and the courts of Rabat have jurisdiction, unless a mandatory rule says otherwise.
16. Personal data, changes, contact
How we use your data is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.
We may change these Terms, for example when the law or the service changes. We tell users in the app and ask you to accept the new version to continue. If you refuse, you can delete your account. If a clause is invalid, the others remain valid.
